It features a dual-layer of springs separated between different upholstery layers, rather than springs laid just on top of springs. As Hasten’s use multiple layers in their mattress construction it gives the beds a true deep progressive comfort. This mattress has a firmer feel in the comfort layers with the horsehair giving a lively push back to this mattress. Side stitching and distinct, classic piping on the mattress define the bed’s elegant shape, providing comfort and stability
The 2000T has a slightly firmer character yet remains gentle and pliable. These work in conjunction with an underlying Bonnell spring system to ensure every part of your body gets the support it needs.
The 2000T is engineered with not just one, but two, unique spring systems. Base: Flax, 2 layers Cotton and wool, 2 layers Horsehair, 1 layer. Mattress: A-lyx horsehair, hand-teased, 4 layers Cotton and wool, 6 layers. Separated layers of horsehair alternate with cotton and wool, allowing the horsehair to maintain its springiness and elasticity and move in different directions for a unique user experience. An impressive pliability comes from a unique layering method using our finest natural materials. Hästens 2000T is a continental bed defined by its elegance and comfort, featuring exclusive details in aluminum. The Hastens mattress gives the following details. Whilst we usually frown on this, having seen Savoirs mattresses being made these natural fibres layers are bountiful and of the very highest quality. What’s surprising is that neither mattress brand gives you the exact upholstery breakdown or GSM. After all, these are the worlds finest beds! Let”s have a look in more detail at the two models under the covers. There are plenty of tweaks and customisations, that in Savoir’s case can increase this price considerably. Savoir No 2 Mattress Retails at between £20,000-£25,000 This is for the mattress and bed base systems. The first thing to look at is the cost, we’re talking serious high-end mattresses here.Īll hand made and 100% Natural fibre. This is where you will be making your decision on which mattress – either the Savoir No 2 and Hastens 2000T – is the best bed for you. The biggest comparison basis here in the natural upholstery fillings and mattress construction techniques. We really are going to be splitting hairs here as we are reviewing two of the worlds finest mattress models available. Simply we have paid for the brand and got a terrible product at the price. Thanks for getting in touch about these two world-class mattresses. Some of these lower end beds like Excel by Hastens which still cost 40k+ DKK may have been good quality in 1985, but technology has moved on. Honestly the best way to go is just to buy a bedframe and get the best mattress on the market. When i called the shop to say after 18months that we really thought they were bad, we just got offered a 20% discount to buy another one. It is probably best to try beforehand whether medium or hard suits you best, but thats also very difficult to know by laying on one for 30 seconds in the shop. We have the worst sleep every night myself and my wife, our backs are in pain and we both get frozen backs too which we didnt get before. There is nothing wrong with the people in the shop who sold us the bed, but i have to say these beds we ordered are simply awful.
We ordered the "hard" version as we thought that would suit us. We ordered two Hastens Excel single beds back in 2020 with the best top mattress they had to go with it.
